My little girl has just turned one year old and I had a great time choosing birthday gifts for her. Of course it’s now coming up to Christmas time and I’m starting to think about presents for Christmas. It’s so much more fun shopping for a toddler than a baby as I know she’ll really get a lot out of the toys I choose and have fun playing with them.

One of the toys I’ve already bought is her first doll. I’ve been excited about buying girly things for my daughter ever since I was pregnant and I found out she was a girl and buying her very first doll feels like a huge milestone. I spent a long time choosing a doll that looked cute and was the right size and weight for a young toddler to hold. I thought about buying a rag doll but in the end decided that I’d rather go with a baby type doll.

I’m also planning on buying her a toy pram and I’ve been considering what kind to get. There are a lot more types of dolls prams available than I thought was possible and I’ve been looking through the selection at Dolls Prams World to get some ideas. As she’s still young, I want to get a pram that is suitable for a toddler but that also has an adjustable handle as she’s growing fast and I don’t want her to outgrow her toys as well as her clothes!

I have a few possibilities on my shortlist but haven’t yet decided exactly which doll pram I’m going to go for. Just like buying her doll, I think this is important to get right and I’d rather spend a bit more money and get a really nice good quality toy pram rather than buy a cheap plastic version that will fall apart in a couple of month. There are lots of companies that make really high quality toy prams for a reasonable price so I don’t think this will be difficult.

I’m not a girly girl myself, but having a daughter is so much fun!Apart from buying beautiful dresses and cute hair accessories and jewellery, I get to buy toys that I’d want to play with rather than monster trucks and dinosaurs. I’m looking forward to many years of shopping for her and playing together.
